17 November 2014

Оn November 13, 2014 Orenburg Residential School for Blind and Visually Impaired Children No. 2 hosted a children’s show arranged by Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the school.

Awaiting the children were giant soap bubbles, puppets, face paints, cotton candy, tricks, dancing, games, all kinds of contests and other surprises. The programme of the show was arranged taking into account the requirements of visually impaired children.

The cooperation of the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation and Orenburg Residential School No 2 began in February 2014 and allowed the school to resolve a number of important infrastructure issues. The institution was donated a portable Braille Display with wireless technology and a multimedia complex for the biology classroom, which includes a ceiling projector, a wall screen and a computer. In addition, the Foundation provided support to the boarding school in equipping its library by installing bookshelves and acquiring a collection of media files. By the time of the school’s anniversary the Foundation had prepared another gift — a musical-acoustic system to be used in a wide array of the children’s recreational activities.
