On February 10, 2012, the Igor Moiseyev State Academic Ensemble of Popular Dance turned 75.
The Ensemble celebrated its 75 glorious years with two anniversary concerts. On February 16 and 17 the Ballet performed at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall together with some of the best folk dance groups. On February 21 the ensemble performed at the historic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. Alongside the choreographic masterpieces produced by Igor Moiseyev, the concert also included a choreographic piece called “At the Ice Rink” and other new works — Serbian and Macedonian dances — specially prepared for the anniversary celebrations.
In the first three months of 2012, the Ensemble visited Saratov, Samara, Tolyatti, Yoshkar-Ola, Kazan, St. Petersburg, Salekhard and Hungary on its anniversary tour.
The anniversary concerts of the Igor Moiseyev Ensemble were supported by the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation.
