New Year’s ice show for young residents of Stary Oskol

The Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation opened the traditional Christmas entertainment programme for orphans with an ice show in Stary Oskol, in the region of Belgorod.

On December 21, 2014, the Arcade sports palace hosted the festive holiday show, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, based on Lewis Carroll’s fairy tale, Alice in Wonderland, performed by the Moscow Ice Theater, Shining Ice.

In the fairy tale on ice the audience, together with Alice and her friends Rabbit and the Hatter find themselves in Wonderland and make an incredible journey through the mysterious Chess Country. They get acquainted with the Queen and noble knights, meet cheerful Tweedledum and Tweedledee, see the Cheshire Cat and Humpty Dumpty and attend a ball. Colourful costumes and setting, virtuoso figure skaters, incredible circus acts and special effects all let the audience plunge into the atmosphere of nonchalance and magic.

Invitations to the event were given to pupils of the Stary Oskol Children’s Home and the Social Rehabilitation Centre for Minors, orphans studying at the Stary Oskol College of Technology and Design, the Stary Oskol College of Construction, Transport, Housing and Communal Services, the Oskol Polytechnic College from the Stary Oskol Institute of Technology, and pupils from secondary schools and kindergartens of Stary Oskol. The show was put on twice: at 13:00 and 16:00.

Maria Krasnikova, Director of the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation said: “Last year the Foundation organised an ice show in Zheleznogorsk. We received an enormous number of enthusiastic comments. This year we decided to bring the show to Stary Oskol. I hope that young citizens enjoyed this gift from us”.

The Foundation also gave New Year gifts to the pupils of the Stary Oskol Children’s Home and the Social Rehabilitation Centre — toys and sweets for the kids, bijoux jewellery for the girls, sports accessories for the boys.

New Year entertainment for children’s homes and residential schools in the Kursk region

On December 25-26, 2014, the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation wished the pupils of сhildren’s social care institutions in the Kursk region a very happy New Year and Christmas. A team of performers arranged children’s parties at the Verkhniy Lyubazh Residential School, the Novoandrosovo Children’s Home, the Oktyabrskaya Special-Care Residential School in Lachinovо and Kursk Residential School No. 2.
