Kinopoeziya Project Presented in Orenburg

01 September 2016

On 28 August 2016, with support from the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation, the film and theatre actor Artur Smolyaninov introduced the new educational and enlightenment project Kinopoeziya (‘Filmed Poetry’) in Orenburg.

The presentation of the project was held as part of the International Film Festival “East & West. Classic and Avant-garde.”

During the event, Artur Smolyaninov performed a number of poetic compositions. Additionally, a series of Kinopoeziya mini-films was shown.

“The essence of the project is to use modern cinematic language to attract young people —who are on an inner personal quest — to poetry,” said Artur Smolyaninov when describing the Kinopoeziya project.

Since the creation of Kinopoeziya, the creative team of the project has filmed poetic mini-movies based on compositions like “I loved you ...” “Keep me, my talisman ...”, “On the hills of Georgia ...”, and “The 19th October” by A. S. Pushkin; “A violin and a little bit nervous” and “Lilichka!” by V. Mayakovsky; and “My generation” by S. Gudzenko.

The Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation is a partner of the Kinopoeziya project and widely supports its activities.
