New sports equipment for the Spartak Youth Sports School in Novotroitsk

02 April 2014

In February 2014 the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation helped the Spartak Youth Sports School in Novotroitsk purchase new exercise equipment. Now the sports school has new boxing outfits, helmets and gloves, weights, balls, ropes, practice mannequins and a set of expanders. The Foundation’s donation also helped acquire electronic scales and infrared saunas that have been installed in the department of wrestling and karate to help the young athletes recover after training and look after their weight.

The Spartak Youth Sports School has five departments: wrestling, boxing, karate, sambo and Eastern martial arts. These sections train over eight hundred students aged 6 to 18 years, many of whom are winners of various competitions in those sports.

Victor Denisov, the school Principal, said: “Our athletes are thrilled with the new equipment and it’s already in active use during training, helping them achieve new sporting heights”.
