Sozvuchie Ensemble wins the grand prix at the “We Are the World” Festival

26 July 2013

The Novotroitsk Youth Violin Ensemble, Sozvuchie, took part in the International “We Are the World” Festival — and came home with the main prize of the competition! This was one of the foreign trips of the youth orchestra sponsored by the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation.

During the competition program, more than two dozen children’s groups performed in Serbia and Montenegro, and at all the events the Novotroitsk ensemble enjoyed enthusiastic appreciation from the public. And as a result — Sozvuchie took home the Grand Prix of the competition. The ensemble’s leaders and teachers didn’t leave empty-handed either. Certificates for excellent organisation were awarded to the ensemble director Natalia Kozlova, to concertmaster Nadezhda Loseva and to the ensemble’s music teacher Lydia Tyurina. As a pleasant added bonus to participating in the competition, the children were able to go on an exciting sight-seeing tour, visiting cathedrals, forts and monuments of the ancient cities they visited along the way.

In 2012, the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation sponsored the ensemble’s participation in the International Competition-Festival Viva, Italy-Russia! In Italy, Sozvuchie took home first prize in the Classical Instrumental Music category, as well as winning the gold medal and the Festival Cup.
