First All-Russia Meeting of Directors of Social Institutions

During the tenth jubilee shift from June 28 to July 1, 2018, the First All-Russia Meeting of Directors of Social Institutions was held attended by the participants of the “To My Future” project. During the meeting, discussions were held on the project implementation in the regions; moreover, the features of key professions were identified for each region, which became an important point in anticipation of the presentation of a book on vocational guidance.


Among guest speakers were:

  • G.V. Semya, Doctor of Psychology, a member of the Coordination Council under the President of the Russian Federation for Implementation of the National Strategy of Action in Interests of Children for 2012-2017, a member of the Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for Protection of Rights of Orphans and Children Left Without Parental Care, a co-chairman of the Expert Council of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children Issues;
  • A.Yu. Teplitsina, Senior Research Scientist of the State University — Higher School of Economics, Candidate of Biological Sciences, a member of the Public Council on Orphans and Children Left Without Parental Care of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, a member of the Public Council under the Children Rights Attorney under the President of the Russian Federation;
  • T.I. Shulga, Professor, Doctor of Psychology, a member of the Public Council for Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Moscow Region.

This unique event was planned specifically as the official closing of the fifth jubilee season of the project implementation, also aimed at establishing collaboration among orphan organizations across Russia. Maria Melnichenko, the program director of the “Art, Science and Sport” Foundation, commented, “For the effective implementation of the project, sincere interest and support of the heads of social institutions, bringing up the participants of the ‘To My Future’ project, is extremely important. We have known each of the directors for many years and have been maintaining a continuous contact, but we have never gathered to discuss further plans and share impressions of cooperation. This meeting became a new inspiration impulse for the education of children and teenagers who are confident in themselves and their future.”

The All-Russia Meeting of Directors of Social Institutions is an excellent initiative aimed at sharing experience in vocational guidance and social adaptation of pupils and role of the project in the lives of its graduates.

Apart from the presentation of the “To My Future” project, major milestones of its and participating organizations’ activities and development plans, the directors of social institutions took part in panel sessions, the results of which determined the future direction of the project’s development.

Yevgeniya Malyshko, a guide and social activist, hold a special training session dedicated to the life of blind people in a big city and their social adaptation and inclusion in modern society. This unique experience was made possible through the interaction with the “Special View” program aimed at the support of visually impaired people.

An analysis of professions acquired by the graduates over the past three years was carried out in order to compile a ranking of in-demand professions for each region; the challenges of building the educational path to the chosen profession and the employment difficulties were discussed. The meeting was attended by representatives of more than 60 social institutions.
