Class from a Maestro

The project “Class from a Maestro” was established by the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation in order to give a fresh impetus to the development of music education in Russia.

The objectives of the project include identifying and supporting young talents, exchanging innovative educational programs, introducing advanced technology into the educational process, and promoting classical and folk music among young people.

Masterclasses are the most effective form of work in this area. The great advantage of this method is that masterclasses can be arranged for students of different ages and skill levels. In each specific case, the teacher adapts an individual approach to their student. Classes solve the students’ (and the teachers’) main issues, as well as help to reveal their creative and musical abilities.

To organise events for the project, the Foundation works with the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, the Gnessin Moscow Special School of Music, Gnessin State Musical College and the Maimonides State Classical Academy.

Class from a Maestro allows young talents from different regions of Russia to receive training from some of the best classical musicians and music teachers.
