The Russian National Festival of Science

An important aspect of the work of the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation is supporting youth science and education initiatives.

One of such projects is the Russian National Festival of Science, established by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science in 2006. The Festival is co-organised with the Government of Moscow and Moscow State Lomonosov University.

Every year, the Festival is held with up to 1000 events and exhibitions running throughout Russia, from Moscow to Vladivostok. The purpose of the Russian Festival of Science is to communicate information to the Russian public about the successes and achievements in science, both at home and internationally. Major Russian scientific and educational institutions join forces to let anyone willing find out firsthand what’s new today in the world of science. Festival goers meet freely with leading Russian scientists, get acquainted with the latest scientific developments and furthermore, take part in actual scientific discussions. Even though these discussions are primarily aimed at students and high school pupils, they never fail to attract the attention of people of all ages. The younger generation especially benefits from the Festival of Science; the events awaken curiosity, stimulate the mind, inspire respect for science, and broaden schoolchildren’s outlook on life from an early age.

The Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation was a supporter of the Russian Festival of Science from 2012 to 2016.
