Support Programme for Visually Impaired Children

 

The Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation is especially concerned about visually impaired children.

The tasks and objectives of the Support Programme are:

As part of the Support Programme, the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation is collaborating with orphanages and specialised boarding schools in various parts of Russia. The participating institutions receive regular help from the Foundation to address issues with infrastructure, facilities, equipment, learning and other materials, as well as assistance in creating a barrier-free environment inside the institutions, modernisation of the teaching methods, organisation of recreation, diagnostics and treatment for the children.

The foundation also provides targeted assistance to children suffering from visual impairment who live and study in orphanage institutions that don’t specialise in care for children with ophthalmological problems.

Спектакль «Современника» «Скажите люди, куда идет этот поезд…» адаптировали для людей с ограничениями зрения

4 марта 2017 года Московский театр «Современник» и Благотворительный фонд «Искусство, наука и спорт» представили первый спектакль театра, доступный для восприятия слепыми и слабовидящими людьми. Постановка была адаптирована в рамках Программы Фонда «Особый взгляд».

Проект «Спектакли-невидимки» представил новый невидимый спектакль «Рождественская история» в Музее современного искусства «Гараж»

19 и 25 декабря 2016 года в Лектории Музея «Гараж» при поддержке Благотворительного фонда «Искусство, наука и спорт» состоялись бесплатные показы спектакля «Рождественская история» театрального проекта «Спектакли-невидимки». Постановка была создана в 2016 году при финансовой помощи Фонда.

Tour of Invisible Plays Takes Place in 10 Regions of Russia in 2015

On 24 November 2015 the final event of a large theatre tour took place, organised by the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation as part of the Support Programme for Visually Impaired Children. This time the pupils of the Kostroma Region Residential School for Blind and Visually Impaired Children got to know Carl, the brave, young main character of Wolke, a unique play performed by Bulgakov House Museum and Theatre.

Unique Invisible Play Performed for Blind and Visually Impaired Children from Foundation-Sponsored Institutions

In the period from February 25 to April 16, 2015, the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation arranged actors from the Bulgakov House Museum and Theatre to come and perform for blind and visually impaired children. The tour came under the framework of the Foundation’s Support Programme for Visually Impaired Children, in the spirit of this, a special play called Wolke for people with blindness was performed for the children.

The Foundation provides support to modernise teaching at Voronezh Residential School for Blind and Visually Impaired Children №3

As part of the framework of Support Programme for Visually Impaired Children , the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation supported Voronezh Residential School for Blind and Visually Impaired Children № 3 with a project for the modernisation of the education process. In early 2014, the school received a new set of specialised equipment: a computer media centre, a voice-activated screen access program and video magnifiers.

Books for visually impaired children

In the framework of its Assistance Program for Children’s Social Services Institutions, the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation has launched a new project. Nearly 1,000 books for visually impaired children were donated to various correctional child-care institutions all over Russia.
